We believe everyone should understand how to manage their money effectively because it can determine what you can do and where you go in your life. Learning how to manage your money in the right way is an important step towards taking control of your life.
We have delivered a number of successful money management courses over the last four years, tailored to different audiences such as parents; people struggling with poor mental health; and volunteers in churches, food banks, and support workers, who are working with vulnerable adults in debt. Our course material is accessible, easy to understand, relevant to individual’s circumstances, and enjoyable!
The course inspires and encourages you to take control of your personal finances – both the money that you earn and the money that you spend. The course include essential information on tax; national insurance; wage slips; savings; pensions; benefits, personal budgeting, borrowing, financial protection; Wills; and debt management.
Smart Savings ‘Minted’ money sessions give young people real life money skills through a series of interactive workshops. Workshops involve writing, presenting, drawing, teamwork, maths and problem solving. We use colourful resources and games, enabling students to explore, be inspired, and form their own opinions about their relationship with money.

I found the whole course extremely helpful on both a professional and personal level. Professionally, it has given me the tools and information I need to deliver a Money Management course as part of my new role. Personally, I have never really looked at my finances critically, nor budgeted in any way – this course has enabled me to do this.

Smart Savings have been fantastic with helping me to sort out of my personal finances. All information on the course was clear– you don’t need a qualification in maths to understand it! Smart Savings have helped me recover my lost pension fund which is worth at least £3,000; I have been able to show my teenager how to choose the best savings account; and they have given me step by step guidance to sorting out my finances. I used to have very little idea about how to manage money properly, however I now feel much more confident.

I attended Smart Savings Money Management course and had no idea there was so much out there that could benefit me – no one had ever told me about basic money management before. I didn’t have any idea of where my money was going before I attended the course. I am now confident with managing my day to day money and feel that I am making my money work best for me. I am extremely optimistic about the future.
